Dear all,

We were not able to install neither
flex 8.2.8A nor flex 7.2.7A in a window 8, 4GB RAM, I3 4Gen laptop. The error 1935 was reported as the reason.  The screen shot of the error is attached herewith. When we googled, some suggestions recommended us to fix the dotnet. However, we later found out that dotnet is preinstalled in win8 and un installing and reinstalling dotnet was not possible. How do we fix it please help us out.

Thanks
Mayank

Hi Mayank Jain,

I haven't ever seen that error, and I'm not a developer who would understand it, but if you think that your .NET installation is to blame there are a few things you might try to fix it:

.NET Framework Repair Tool is available: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2698555 (includes a list of .NET installation file URLs about half-way down the page)
.NET Framework Repair Tool: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135
How to repair an existing installation of .NET: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/306160

At least running the 'repair tool' might help to eliminate .NET from your suspected problem list. For what it's worth,

Paul

I have had the same problem whan installing in Windows 7 on an HP laptop. I get the 1935 error. I then tried fixing .NET as per Paul's suggestion but the 1935 error persists. It means I am unable to run FLEx at all ...

Any suggestions welcome.

Nick

Apologies. With more persistence, updating the system, and running the .NET repair again I have now installed FLEx.

Wonderful, Nick. That is such good news. I hate computer problems.
