I have a situation where there are several headwords for a specific set of phonemes (in this case -ha number 1 and ha- number 2). The first headword -ha is a question enclitic meaning "where" and needs to be included in the dictionary. The second headword ha- is a noun class prefix that is being used in textual analysis and for grammatical functions but will not be output in the dictionary. Even though the second headword is excluded from the output to the dictionary, it still takes a headword number that can't be erased and also forces the first headword -ha to have a headword number. In the dictionary view you get -ha1 without a second headword ha-which is not a preferred way for the output to go to the dictionary. If there is only one headword, there should be no trailing number after the headword. I can't seem to find a way to edit an individual entry like this so it hides the headword number. The only options I see are for editing the formatting of all the headword numbers in the dictionary. I'd appreciate help with figuring out how to do this.

   Thanks,

Hello John

The headword (homograph) numbers are editable in Browse view or Browse pane. Use the column chooser to add Homograph number as a column. Enter the record you want to publish then click in the Browse column and change its homograph number to zero. For the record you don't want to publish, you can let it be homograph number 1 or greater. Just  be sure to change its setting in the Publish In field.
