We are pleased to announce a major FITS release. This release includes
support for processing various word processing file types including
.doc, .docx, .epub, .odt, .pdf, .rtf, and .wpd. Included are updates of
normalized MIME types for supported video formats. There are also
several bug fixes and performance enhancements. See the release notes (which have been moved to the Wiki section) on the FITS GitHub site for more details.
The FITS Service is primarily a bug fix release. License files have been rationalized across files; Improvements to build; Remove duplicate JAR files from built WAR artifact.
