Everytime i use firebug lite this extension is running in the background how to i stop it? any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I assume that script is Firebug Lite.
Note that Firebug Lite is not maintained for years now. So, I suggest to debug your page in Chrome you either use the Chrome DevTools or the Firefox DevTools and debug it remotely.
