When firebug is running from my code base, where does the errors in firebug code show up?

Hi,

I am trying to extend firebug to monitor network traffic, identify a particular type of response and store it in a web server.

My changes to the code base are getting reflected in the extension. But if they had any errors, I am not able to identify them. FBTrace only prints the content which I ask it to print. And I couldn't find the errors in any of the consoles. 

I am finding it hard to make changes to the code base without knowing where the errors in my code base would show up. Could someone please help me with this?
