1.1) Install
Firebug 1.5X.4 from http://getfirebug.com/releases/firebug
1.2) Open Firebug Icon Menu > Open Tracing
1.3) Tracing panel Options ERRORS and UI_LOOP
1.4) Reproduce your problem and read the Logs panel
2.1) Install Firebug 1.6Xa11 (http://getfirebug.com/releases/firebug/
1.6X) and Chromebug 1.6X.0a11 (http://getfirebug.com/releases/
chromebug/).
2.2) Run firebug from the command line with "-chromebug".
2.3) Reproduce your problem. You may be more lucky when you hit
Debugger button

The first message refers to the Skype extension for Firefox. So please deactivate it and see if you still get that Unresponsive script dialog.
I'm not sure about the second message. It looks like the problem is related to the Yahoo! Mail page.
Also please note that the versions in the forum entry you refer to are outdated for years and unmaintained. The current version of Firebug is 2.0.8. Though again, it can only help you in case that you are the programmer of the website or extension.
As user you should ensure you have installed all updates for your OS and Firefox (current version is 35.0.1). If you still get those messages with an updated system, you should contact the website/extension author about that.
