Hey Mengmeng,I reached out to the Firebase Analytics team and they said the following:
- If Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics were integrated into the app in different versions, their scope of users is different (and thus their resultant user metrics are different).
- Firebase Analytics retention is tracked automatically based on user engagement (engagement with the app in the foreground of the device) whereas Google Analytics retention is based on manual instrumentation and has no such requirement of "foreground engagement".
