firebase function deploy error - connect ETIMEDOUT

Hi All,

I have a function which want to deploy in firebase. However, when I execute  firebase deploy   , there shows an error:

 

I googled this error and many people insert this maybe caused by firewall. I'm in china, and I have opened my v p n service, then I tried to ping this ip address, the result is successful.

I am stuck with this problem for two days, can anyone give me some suggestions?

Hi Kristen,

I haven't seen other complaints from your region so this could be more localized. But assuming your assessment is correct, I'm afraid we can't be much help if your access is being blocked by an ISP or country; both of those are outside our influence and could land people in legal trouble if they offered advice on how to bypass local policies.

If the blocked resources are specific to the destination location (e.g. United States), and your Function is an HTTP one (not a background function triggered by Firebase) then you might be able to pick a different region which is allowed. Similarly, you might have better luck with Cloud Run.
