The Federation of Indian Blood Donor Organisation (FIBDO) announced national level executive committee which shall remain in office for period of 2 years with a view of strengthening cause of voluntary blood donation throughout the country.
According to organisation release Vikrant Dogra from "Prayas" has been made vice- president of the National Level Executive Committee. He will represent north zone at national level.
The Chairman of Prayas Rajesh Sharma hailed the decision of FIBDO and extended full support to the Federation for cause of "voluntary blood donation" in this part of country.
It is pertinent to mention here that Federation of Indian Blood Donor Organisation [FIBDO] was established in 2010 as the national platform of voluntary non-remunerative blood donor organisations of India.
Biswaroop Biswas Secretary and KP Rajagopalan president in a joint statement informed that FIBDO is a place for sharing, learning and framing policies for blood science and blood donation. The goal of FIBDO is self-sufficiency of the member states in blood from voluntary, non remunerated blood donors. 'We welcome all serious voluntary blood donor organisations to join us and strengthen the blood donation movement of the country', the added.
