JAMMU: The Federation of Indian Blood Donor Organisation (FIBDO) elected Vikrant Dogra, of Prayas-a non government organisation, as Vice President of the National Level Executive Committee.
Dogra will represent North Zone at National Level. The Chairman of Prayas, Rajesh Sharma hailed the decision of FIBDO and extended full support to the federation.
Biswaroop Biswas Secretary and K.P Rajagopalan(President) in a joint statement informed that FIBDO is a place for sharing, learning and framing policies for blood science and blood donation. The goal of FIBDO is self-sufficiency of the member states in blood from voluntary, non remunerated blood donors. We welcome all serious voluntary blood donor organisations to join us and strengthen the blood donation movement of the country, they added.
He said the e National Executive of FIBDO was elected unanimously in the meeting which was held on 3rd February 2013 and included K.P Rajagopalan (Kerala) President; Vinay Shetty (Maharastra) VP; Supriya Deb (Assam) VP; Vitin Puri (Punjab) VP; Vikrant Dogra (J&K) VP; Biswaroop Biswas (West Bengal) Secretary; Prasanta Dash (Odisha) Astt Secretary; Siva Kumar (Andhra Pradesh) (Doc) Astt Secretary; Atul Gira (Jharkhand) (Lawyer) Astt Secretary; Jitendra Mishra (Haryana) Astt Secretary; Pushya Mitra S (Andhra Pradesh) Treasurer; Vinoth Narsimha (Tamil Nadu) Astt Treasurer; Shahnaz Ahmed (Rajasthan); Ajay Dube (UP); T.Sampath (TN) (VBD consultant); Ali Poker (Nagaland) (VBD consultant); Archit Jain (Delhi); Raju Chandrashekhar (Karnataka); Ratheesh Sahadevan (Kerala); Devapriya Dhar (West Bengal) and Gourav Kakani (MP).
