NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF FIBDO IS FORMED.

The Federation of Indian Blood Donor Organisations (FIBDO) announced National Executive Committee which shall remain in office for period of 2 years with a view of strengthening cause of "Voluntary Blood donation" throughout the country.

It is pertinent to mention here that Federation of Indian Blood Donor Organisations [FIBDO] was established in 2010 as the national platform of voluntary non- remunerative blood donor organizations of INDIA.

Biswaroop Biswas (Secretary), Dr Siva Kumar Aytha (Astt Secretary) andK.P.Rajagopalan(President) in a joint statement informed that FIBDO is a place for sharing, learning and framing policies for blood science and blood donation.The goal of FIBDO is self-sufficiency of the member states in blood from voluntary, non remunerated blood donors. We welcome all serious voluntary blood donor organisations to join us and strengthen the blood donation movement of the country.

The prime objectives of FIBDO include Awareness to the mass about blood science and blood donation and Motivating next generation donors, also to assist the Government and other regulatory bodies to frame guidelines / policy / rules in relation to voluntary blood donation. To arrange education programmes for blood donor motivators and create awareness of the Safe Blood Transfusion among people along with publication of IEC�s to promote voluntary blood donation.

 

The National Executive of FIBDO is elected unanimously from the meeting held on 3rd February 2013 includes:
