ffmpeg cant read .swf?

I am currently using ffmpeg to get the duration of a media file/flash
file. it works fine for .avi .mpeg . flv. But when I am trying to get
file infomation of an .swf file using ffmpeg, it shows me this error:
Compressed SWF format not supported
Does anyone know how to solve this problem? is it because of my
settings?or is it just that ffmpeg does not support compressed swf
fomat?
