The Harvard Business School (HBS) Summer Venture in Management Program (SVMP) is a one week management training program for rising college seniors designed to increase diversity and opportunity in business education.
SVMP participants must be employed in a summer internship and be nominated by and have sponsorship from their company or organization to attend. Given the current economic climate, finding a summer internship is going to be challenging. We strongly recommend that you start looking today. Sponsoring organizations can include public or private companies, government agencies or entities, and non-profit organizations. In addition, applicants must be United States citizens or permanent residents, and must be rising college seniors who have completed their junior year of college by June 2012.
Participants will be selected based on academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, and personal characteristics. Academic studies in the field of business are not necessary for selection in this program. Participants are expected to participate in the entire program.
