RSS content outside of "item" tags does not sync to Feedburner.

Hi guys, I'm having an issue with my podcast feed where Feedburner is only burning / syncing part of my RSS feed. 

The item tags do sync, but the channel content that is outside the item tags will not sync. 

When I update my original feed, Feedburner syncs the new items fairly quickly, but I can't get the copyright and image tags to update (as you can see, the copyright is stuck in 2011, and the image tag is old and contains invalid syntax. 

I have tried all the "troubleshootize" tips, including pinging and forcing re-sync. I have googled this problem, and searched these message boards, but have not found anyone else with a similar issue. 

Please help!

P.S. Question, possibly related: In my original XML (pre-feedburner), should my atom:feed tag contain the feedburner link, or the original XML link? I'm assuming the original, since rel=self, but please educate me.
