==Apologies for cross-postings==

Tune in on Wed., May 13, 2009 9:00 a.m. PT; 12:00 p.m. ET  for a SUN/DSpace/Fedora/SPARC “All About Repositories” web seminar that will highlight the upcoming OR09 (https://or09.library.gatech.edu/index.php) to be held in Atlanta, Georgia from May 18-21, 2009 at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The conference promises to showcase the latest global repository developments and breakthroughs that increasingly play a pivotal role in the information landscape.

A broad range of OR09 topics span repository implementations for education, research, science, and cultural heritage. Tune in for a 60 minute preview of highlights from conference plenary presentations given by Dr. John B. Howard, OR09 Program Chair, Associate University Librarian, Arizona State University Libraries, who will discuss several themes represented in presentations and panels at this year’s conference, including: the role of repositories in emergent data management networks, repositories and the cloud, and strategies for innovation and sustainability in repository applications. DSpace Foundation Director Michele Kimpton will offer highlights from DSpace User Group presentations and Sandy Payette, Executive Director, Fedora Commons, will offer ideas for getting the most out of Fedora User Group sessions.

For the first time, OR09 will host five concurrent workshops on the afternoon of Thursday May 21st ranging from cloud storage and implementing SWORD, to new repository tools from DSpace, Microsoft and VTLS. The keynote speaker on Monday May 18 will be John Wilbanks of Science Commons, whose presentation is entitled “Locks and Gears: Digital Repositories and the Digital Commons.”

Register for the webinar here: http://www.education-webevents.com/. The OR09 registration URL is:  https://or09.library.gatech.edu/registration.php  (One and two day registrations are now available.) The conference schedule is available at:  https://or09.library.gatech.edu/schedule.php.

Dear all, [sorry for multiple posting, posted this (slightly adapted) message to the muradora-list some days ago)
I installed muradora-all-in-one1.3.3 on Ubuntu8.04 and manage to get to the muradora interface.

Browsing etc. works, but I cannot add a collection (after being logged in as fedoraAdmin and having the possiblity to push the right buttons) and cannot inspect the objects of the demo collection neither (after ingesting it via the command
line).

Fedora appears to be fine (working with the client is possible etc., with URLs like 'http://localhost:8080/fedora/get/demo:SmileyBeerGlass' I can access the demo collection from the browser as well.

In 'catalina.out', I get the exceptions as described below.

Do you have an idea at where the problem could be?

(In the meantime, logging in as fedoraAdmin doesn't result in getting the admin interface with buttons for adding a collection etc. anymore)

Thanks a lot,
michael
