Purchased last year, took it out to Sam Houston National Forest for a week.
Nice change from just a screened gazebo. critters (stray/wild cats) and raccoons kept getting into the screened gazebo, but have yet to find one that got into this one. Secondly, being able to open and close the windows depending on weather or just closing up before bed or heading out hunting is a definite plus. Can't tell you about no-see-ums since it was January. Used a buddy a heater which raised the temp enough to avoid being uncomfortably cold. Sure beats being stuck in your sleeping tent during inclement weather.
Sets up better with two people than one but is doable. One of the pins that were suppose to be connected to the pole disappeared during setup but substituted a nail which worked just find. The stakes provided are too small for wet soil with moderate breezes. Substituted some stakes from my Cabelas X-treme tent on the guide lines on each end with a door and the
corners and it held just fine. Contacted manufacturer and found that they didn't sell the pins separately. They sent me a whole new pole kit instead (under warranty).
Better carrying bags would have made this a 5 (one for poles, other for tent)
This tent is heavy so don't plan to take it too far from your vehicle unless you have a cart or help.
Plan to take it out again this year for a week during bow hunting season and again a month later during gun season. This tent makes a nice addition to the camp.
