For the points at the cheekbones, do they hit at the outer edge of the face or do they hit inside the face? Sometimes it looks like the cheekbone is not always on the periphery of the face. In your example for instance the jawline spots are certainly on the outer edge of the face but the right side cheekbone seems a little inside the face compared to the left side. Is this just a matter of asymmetry or slight variance in alignment of the photo?

The outside of the cheeckbones. You are right, that isn't quite the same as the outer edge of the face, especially if viewed at a bit of an angle.

However it's not that sensitive to small variations so should work out either way.
