Dear Team:
Another observation that Deployment type of yaml scripts are not generated and it still uses the ReplicationSet structure (at least for Rails app. Maven I am not sure). Should this be a good idea to be implemented sometime?

Definitely! I've raised an issue to track this:
the main reason for the difference is the new 3.x of the maven plugin (http://maven.fabric8.io/) switched over to defaulting to using Deployment on kubernetes and DeploymentConfig on openshift; but the Jenkins pipeline library hasn't yet been updated to follow suit when using non maven builds.
Hopefully it shouldn't be too hard to fix
