Building an App Extension

Hello,

We're planning to build a system where people can sync their event attendees. We will provide OAuth flow. But the "App Extension" feature seems very interesting. I tried installing the MailChimp app directly from Eventbrite. It rendered Mailchimp in an iframe. 

We wanna have the same functionality. I see a lot of apps built as well. But there seems to be no documentation for this :( I used requestbin to capture what request was being sent if I give a URL in the App extension settings. And I got this request:

What is this esr parameter? How do we link accounts in this approach? A guide would be great!!

I would also like to know how to link the accounts using this esr parameter. Please reply as soon as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
