BSO Imprescindibles

bso, y he decidido iniciar un nuevo hilo con el tema.
Es evidente que cada uno tiene sus gustos, filias y fobias con las bso
y sus compositores, como con todo en este mundo, que sin la imagen no
valen para nada, hay a quien le encanta escuchar las bso incluso sin
haber visto las películas (como a mí...), etc, y que cada uno de
nosotros preferirá un compositor a otro. Pero la intención de este
hilo no pretende ser una discusión tipo A es mejor que B o que C (para
eso podemos iniciar otro, que seguro qeu sale una interesante
discusión XDDDDDDD) , sino el intentar entre todos hacer una especie
de recomendación de aquellas BSO que no deberían faltar en la
colección de cds de cada uno de nosotros. Yo voy a comenzar poniendo
aquí lo mismo que he puesto en el anterior, aunque probablemente iré
añadiendo conforme vaya pensándomelo mejor y revisando algunas que
otras.......

Añado Jane Eyre y Psicosis. Igual quitaba Vertigo, es gloriosa, pero tan
inspirada en Tristán e Isolda de Wagner (el tema de amor, sobre todo) que
roza la copia; no así el tema de los creditos. Eso es Herrmann del bueno.

Por cierto, denuncio ahora el plagio que hizo el Elfman primerizo de "La
gran aventura de PeeWee" (en "The Breakfast Machine") al Nino Rota de "La
Strada". Y no digo homenaje, digo plagio. A mí se me cayó el alma al suelo.
Todos al WinMx o similares a comprobarlo.

Drácula, del Kilar. Realmente son tres o cuatro temas repetidos por las
dos caras del disco. Pero me da igual, nunca cansa. El mejor tema de amor de
finales del Siglo XX.
Memorias de Africa, de John Barry. Aquí viene un copipaste: "Realmente
son tres o cuatro temas repetidos por las dos caras del disco. Pero me da

El Padrino y Amarcord, de Nino Rota. Y otras colaboraciones con Fellini.
El Silencio de Los Corderos, de Howard Shore. Ahora que el tipo está en
plan bucólico (y podrido de pasta) con "El señor de los anillos".
Cristal Oscuro, de Trevor Jones. Imposible de encontrar si no es en
internet. Mirad lo bueno, es gratis.
La Gran Evasión y Los Siete magníficos, de Elmer Bernstein. Además de la
adaptación de Herrmann que hizo para "El Cabo del Miedo" de Scorsese.
Todas son archiconocidas por cualquiera, excepto quizás "Cristal
Oscuro".

Morricone compuso una BSO para una serie de TV que es de lo mejor. Hace
bastantes años que no está localizable y no se si lo estará ahora:

regalandolos y fue un autentico golpe de suerte porque la conservo

Caine" ??? también componía música?????, supongo que quieres decir

Curiosamente yo también la tengo en vinilo, aunque la compré hace muchos
años, cuando era una novedad :-DDD Es muy buena, aunque para mí Morricone se
morirá sin hacer algo superior a "La Misión" (por sobada que resulte). Por
cierto, que lo de los vinilos es una putada, porque si bien los de rock son
sustituibles por CDs sin excesivos problemas, las BSOs resultan prohibitivas
(con las cuatro perras que me costó mi vinilito de "Baker Street", que
encima pillé de oferta, y ahora por la edición en CD
superespecial-hecha-en-la-Conchinchina-en
edición-pirata-limitadísima-con-lacito-de-regalo me piden un pastón de la
leche...). Eso me pasa por jubilar el tocata antes de tiempo :-D

¿has escuchado la música que Michael Nyman ha compuesto para cine? Son obras
en sí mismas, independientes de la película.

Winterbottom.
Me pareció preciosa, quizás porque la película también es genial.
Fue de las pocas veces que he visto que la gente aplaude al final
de la película(en la filmoteca de Madrid).

La música de Nyman escrita para cine es extraordinaria. Las colaboraciones
con Peter Greenaway no son nada convencionales y no tienen nada que ver con
el sistema tradicional de composición de bandas sonoras en la industria
hollywoodense. En principio, Nyman no conoce previamente el trabajo de
Greenaway pues éste no está aún realizado, y por tanto, Nyman compone la
música y ésta es después utilizada por el director. Fácilmente se puede
sospechar la posibilidad de que la filmación haya estado influenciada por la
música, pero jamá podría darse el caso contrario.
