The
Research Committee of the Association for Authentic,
Experiential and Evidence Based Learning (AAEEBL) is conducting research
to gain greater understanding about eportfolio use. Our
2012 survey
will assess the motivations, benefits, strengths, and challenges of
eportfolio implementations across diverse institutions. In particular,
this survey will examine how eportfolio pedagogies and assessment
strategies are being promoted globally in higher education and also will
aim at identifying conditions conducive to successful eportfolio
implementation.
We invite you to participate in this
important research in order to add to the current knowledge base in the
eportfolio field.
The survey will be available for your response at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2012aaeeblsurvey starting on May 9 through June 22 with preliminary findings to be shared and discussed at the annual AAEEBL conference in Boston, July 16-19.
In order to ensure that as broad an international audience as possible
is able to contribute to our ongoing discussion on these issues, we will
also follow-up after the conference with online venues such as webinars
and web chats.
Please share about ten minutes of your time
with us, and respond to survey questions from your own individual,
personal and professional perspectives. We do not expect for you to
feel responsible as the primary spokesperson for your program or for
what may be several eportfolio initiatives at your institution. We
encourage you to concentrate on a single eportfolio project or program
with which you are involved. However, we urge you to forward this
survey to colleagues who may also be working with eportfolios on your
campus so that our research will represent a diverse range of
eportfolio-related initiatives.
