negative pressure at tap-off point

Please help, My model has got  four Tap-off points (250 mm, 3700 L/min), at the tap off node the pressure is negative 102 m but two meter downstream is positive 8 m, What could be the problem for negative pressure at tap-off point or how can i fix this problem ?

Really your model is rare.

  1. You have a lot of reservoirs instead of consumption points. I advice you to read the User´s manual of EPANET.
  2. You are trying to simulate an cuasi static model with a pattern without any variation, Advice: solve the static model (without pattern) and after this it function, then optimize tour model with a pattern.
  3. You have a lot of regulation valves without setting values.
  4. The most of your consumtion points are with base demand equal to 0.
  5. It seem that you are not undestanding the indications of users manual to assign correct values to your hydraulical model.
  6. The selection of units of FLOW and HEADLOSS  automatically it define the system of units EPANET it works. Check this.
