Hello all,
As many of you might know that STAB in collaboration with Tech GSR is organizing a week-long workshop SSTeP (Solutions to Socio Technical Problems) aiming at developing solutions for a smarter campus. The workshop starts tomorrow i.e 25th Nov . The participants will get to interact with people from Arduino India, Texas Instruments and startups who will be mentoring them. Also we will be glad if any tech enthusiast from the institute volunteers to mentor. The top 2 teams will also get a chance to display there work at makerfest
Here is the list of sample projects. People are free to work on their own ideas though.

About the event:-
  •  Date:-  25th Nov- 1st Dec
  •  Timings:- 10:00 am to 6:00 pm daily 
  •  Venue- WEL Lab
  •  Occasional talks by Profs and Professionals

Tentative Schedule:-
  • Day 0 (24th Nov)- A talk by GSHA and a few stake-holders (mess council, maint council) to discuss about the problems in institute
  • Day 1 (25 Nov)-  Teaming up and Field Visit
  • Day 2 (26 Nov)- Solution space generation
  • Day 3 (27 Nov)- Idea finalization and making of the prototype
  • Day 4 (28 Nov)- Prototyping 
  • Day 5 (29 Nov)- Prototyping and Testing
  • Day 6 (30 Nov)- Validation and modification
  • Day 7 (1 Dec) -  Presentation, Judging and Future Plans
