to COVID-19 Knowledge Accelerator, Statistic Model Code System Expert Working Group

9 people (BA, BK, EA, HL, JD, KS, MA, RC, TN-R) participated today in up to 3 active working group meetings.

You are welcome to join the Code System Development effort -- see Invitation to join Expert Working Group. At this time we currently have 61 people signed up from 27 countries In 6 continents (Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, France, Ghana, Greece, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Nigeria, Peru, Romania, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States)

The Project Management Group reviewed goals for improving website introductions to the COVID-19 Knowledge Accelerator (https://www.gps.health/covid19_knowledge_accelerator.html) and EBMonFHIR (https://confluence.hl7.org/display/CDS/EBMonFHIR) projects.  We will explore both websites (gps.health, HL7 Confluence) for capabilities and ease of management and would like to develop a website that will:

  1. Provide a dashboard view with status of our many activities
  2. Provide an introduction to our many activities
  3. Provide access to the documentation behind our efforts
  4. Provide easy methods to get involved

We will set a December 14 goal for putting this together as that is the scheduled introduction our next Connectathon Track.

The Systematic Meta-Review Project Group refined search strategies for the Steroids for COVID-19 Systematic Meta-Review Protocol. We achieved manageable search strategies (< 300 results) for 8 of 9 databases so far. This means we are getting close to formally completing the protocol, registering the protocol, and thus starting this project. Soon we will need to adapt Citation Management tools (with PICO Portal) to manage the article selection effort and Data Extraction Tools (with Computable Publishing LLC) to capture the data and convert to FHIR resources. These are the remaining steps to prepare for this project.

The Statistic Model Code System Development Steering Group mapped statistic model terms to the Step 5 NCIt Ontology Mapping.
