Dwarka - DTC Bus Routes

Dear Friends

 

As you are aware that after continous follow-up by all Dwarkaites, DTC has provided some buses to Dwarka and in the process of providing more buses in the time to come.

 

To avail efficient/balanced transport system for Dwarka, we would like to submit our requirements/suggestions to DTC officials. As none of us has the complete knowledge of all the Bus Routes / Sector of Dwarka, its necessary to include requirements/comments /suggstions of whole Dwarka. For this, we have made a suggestive draft format to capture voice of Dwarka, which can be further submitted to DTC officials, for their consideration.

 

You are requested to kindy suggest route plans etc, as per provided common format (XLS File)  for onward submission to the DTC officials, keeping in mind the following :
1. Routes must serve the purpose of local commuting with-in Dwarka

2  Touches Main Markets of Dwarka

3  Touches minimum 1-2 metro stations

4. Few Common junctions/intersections - where commuters can change the buses as per their desired destinations   

5. Shortest possible route within Dwarka to reduce total commuting time

6. Atleast one-two bus routes available in all the sectors

7. Touching maximum schools/collages, hospitals etc.

8. Buses starts/terminates at different roads/terminals of various sectors of Dwarka to avoid traffic jams on one stretch and to serve all sectors of Dwarka

9. Please include surrounded villages/localities in the proposals

10. Avoid suggesting routes running parallel to the Metro stations / route

One more suggestion to increase/make  more effective the existing bus route No. 780.

 

Now there is a bus route 780 starting from Pochanpur village to ending Super Bazaar (Connaught Place) via Mahipalpur, RK Puram, Sarojini Ngr, Chanakyapuri.  It has only one trip by DTC bus starting at  8.30 am (at Pochanpur) and ending at Super Bazaar at around 10 am.  Presently it has no return trip.  I would request to modify this as follows:

 

1. This route can have few more trips at 30 minutes  freqency and starting time from Pochanpur and covering Sector 23, 22, 21,etc.of Dwarka,etc. can be 8 am, 8.30 am & 9 am.  Likewise, return trip from C/Place in the evening can be at 4.30 pm, 5 pm and 5.30 pm via R.K. Puram.  This bus would cater to the commuting needs of many office goers working in RK Puram, Central Sectt. and in aras falling enroute. 

 

2.  In RK Puram the said bus could go via Sector -1  where most of the Central Government offices are located, so that  the service could be utilized by the office goers residing in Sectors 20,21,22 & 23 and nearby areas  and working in various offices in RK Puram and other areas.

 

The above proposal may please be considered for inclusion in the overall proposal of  transport needs of Dwarka.

Hi

Just want to share the update on property tax:

 

Hard Facts:

 

1.       The tax till 2004 has to be paid per the ratable value. Donot believe people who have a personal interpretation of this important tax.

2.       All in our society got the MCD notice on property tax payable under the ratable value system and we decided to settle this.

3.       Mar 15^th is the last date till which one has to file an application (a new one is needed even if you previously submitted/challenged the assessment) to avail amnesty and the cases have to be settled by March 31^st.

 

How to calculate the TAX (Its very simple and easy)

1.       I have summarized the understanding that I have as follows:

a.       Step 1: Find out Cost of Construction

b.      Step 2: 8.5% of cost is the ratable value (RV)

c.       Step 3: on first 1000 of RV—Tax is 10%, on balance  tax is 20%

 

Establishing Cost of construction  (If you have documents to prove the construction cost it is fine, just skip this part)

1.       Find out the area of your flat

2.       Multiply the area with a CPWD plinth area rate (its available on net)

a.       CPWD published the plinth area rates in 1992 and then every year they publish a number “Cost of construction Index” (its on CPWD website, if you donot get this , just email me the year, I will respond back)

b.      So in CPWD rate in 1992 was 2810/- per sqmt and your flat was made in 1999, then index number was 158. SO you would multiply 2810 * 1.58 = rs 4439.8 per sqmt. This translates to about Rs 413 per sqft.

c.       For a flat built in 1992, you can assume cost of construction as Maximum 413/sqft.

1 sqm = 10.76 sqft

 

Whatever you hear, remember to settle this pending issue. It will be easy for your children  and future generation when they sell the property.

R U Dicussing individual house/flat or some thing else. If u are discussing tax on individual, it is certainlyh on the basis of Unit Area after 1.4.2004. For Dwarka, MCD office at Kakrola is dealing with it. The last date 31.3.2010.  See the MCD site also for more details.

 

However I agree with you that Whatever you hear, remember to settle this pending issue. It will be easy for your children  and future generation when they sell the property.

Pl. show the copy of notice and other relevant papers to Shri Pradeep and he will advise u suitably. I spoke to him.  As discussed on phone, if you deposit Rs. 26K as informed make sure to get no dues certificate and full and final settlement so that you do not re3ceive any demand for arrears subsequently. 

Today, I depostied my tax under unit areas system and the Incharge, Shri Sharma, for Sec. 6 was very helpful.  He guided me properly.  U can also meet the incharge of your area and seek proper guidance from him.

Dear Sir,

 

Dwarka Forum thanks you for starting Depot at Sector-8, Dwarka to provide public transport facilities to about six lakh residents of Dwarka and its nearby localities.  We also request for an early start of the depot / terminal at sector 2, Dwarka and on being a main road, it can work as a main serving point for the residents.  

 

But apart from starting this depot, we bring to your kind notice that, majority of the residents still feels that existing facilities are presently underutilized and needs better planning to serve the people and to increase the earning of the Corporation.  Residents are not well aware about the existing routes and buses time-table of the bus services in Dwarka.  In the past, representation had been made to DTC by various citizens’ forums of Dwarka but still, no visible actions have been noticed in this regard.   It is again suggested that route maps and time-tables should be displayed at conspicuous places in Dwarka including at the starting point of buses, all the metro stations and at main markets.    From time to time, we have given suggestions for better utilization of Dwarka Circular Sewa but no action on the ground is visible or informed.  In the absence of this, it this service do not get the desired results, the DTC will have to share the responsibility for this at large.

 

For serving the greater number of residents and for ensuring optimum utilization of the available resources for an efficient and balanced Public Road Transport system Dwarka Forum has invited suggestions from the residents all sectors keeping in mind the following:

 

1.      Routes must support local commuting with-in Dwarka.

2.      Enhance revenue of the Corporation.

3.      Connecting Dwarka with major points of Delhi and NCR.

4.      Touches Main Markets of Dwarka.

5.      Touches minimum 1-2 metro stations.

12.  Avoiding running parallel routes to the Metro Rail.

Information gathered from the residents is enclosed at Annexure -1. You are requested to review and re-organize the existing routes and also start additional bus routes up to maximum extent possible. 

 

We are ready to extend all possible support to your officials in regard and if we get the detailed time table and route scheduling, we will spread this information to the residents through local media, our blog of 2200 members, through other Residents Welfare and Market Associations. 

 

We are confident that with the joint efforts of the Forum and DTC, we will be able to enhance the revenue of the Corporation manifold, while serving the needs of the commuters of the Dwarka in a better way.

Dear Shri Sunil,

As our Charterred Bus give a miss three-four times last month, I spoke
to Shri S.S. Mishra, DTC Depot Manager, Sector 8 to help us by
introducing one special A/C bus service between Dwarka and CGO Complex
for the for the benefil of office-goers. Shri Mishra informed me that
since they do not have any approved route between these points nothing
can be done. After repeated telephone calls, Shri Mishra advised me to
contact the Dy. Chief General Manager (Traffic) at Scindia House.
Since I could not contact him on telephone, nothing further has
happended.

I think you may take up this issue during the meeting next week with
DTC.
