Durandaljs microphone api

I am working on a durandaljs project and I an trying to use WebRTC getUserMedia() to capture audio input. Since getUserMedia is not supported, the speech functionality doesn't work over non secure links. I am looking for a way if there is an api of durandal framework that can capture the microphone. If I can do that then I can get rid of getUserMedia.
