Hey guys, I just moved from San Francisco to Dallas last week and was
hoping to see if you guys have any NARP's or anything of the sort
coming up. I was fairly heavily involved in the DToid SF (If you
watched last years Child's Play I was the asshole talking the entire
night begging for money and licking pictures of Ron Jeremy...I'm not
proud of that last one). Let me know what's going on with you guys,
and I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you.

Welcome to Dallas.  Blehmeng, Portastad, and DVDdesign welcome you.

Well, at least I do.

Erm...  I'm leaving town for honeymoon-related reasons next week, but we're long overdue for a Dallas shindig.

In any case, welcome, try the meat, thanks for bringing us the earthquakes, and try the Shiner, it's delicious.

Hey, man. Bleh here. I give the formal planning over to people who actually pay attention and can set things up, but if you want to just hang out or something (I think I may be the only one in Dallas proper) let me know.

portastad here. I just moved into my new apartment in Arlington yesterday. Granted its only like 10 minutes from where I lived before. I am surrounded by piles of boxes, but once Aaron gets back from his honeymoon (bow chika wow wow) I could sure go for a shindig.

Someone just might have to dig me out from under all these boxes.

Fun fact: if you can find a Blue Mesa Grill near you in Dallas, every weeknight is happy hour in the bar. Drinks are 4 bucks and as long as you buy one they come with free chicken quesadillas, nachos, chips & salsa. Very cheap dinner. The blue margaritas are good. Nom.

We may be doing something down here in Austin in a few weeks (hopefully). I remember there was talk (or tweets) a couple weeks ago of possibly getting together at the Dave & Busters down here in Austin and then meeting up at Sean's afterwards, which I'd still be pretty down with.

Sounds great guys. I'm moving into my new place on the 21st, so I'm
frantically trying to buy furniture and piece my life back together.
(Side note, anyone have any suggestions for a computer desk? Thinking
about an Ikea Galant). Other than that I'm fairly open schedule
wise. The place I'm staying at right now is directly behind the
aquarium, so it shouldn't be too hard for me to get out to you guys.

There's an IKEA store in Round Rock (just north of Austin).

I might have a really nice corner desk for sale bc so far it isn't fitting into my new place. Comes in 3 pieces but needs to be taken downstairs though. Light wood, metal, frosted glass.

Aquarium?  Which one?  The fair park, North Dallas, or the one near downtown?

Sorry for the late reply, been tied up getting things together. I
think it's the one downtown, it's about two blocks from city hall off
Ross.

Still looking for a desk? It's officially on sale. I can take pics. No room or real need for it. I tend to work at my coffee table.

Hey new Dallas guy,

Srsly. Are you still looking for a desk? I'm thinking of asking around $50 for mine. Great condition. I just never use it since I switched to a laptop and it's too big bc I'd rather have a dining room. I can take pics tonight. Just wanted to give you a crack at it first before I sold it at work or craigslist.

Hell of a lot cheaper than that Ikea desk you were looking and and a lot more functional.

Let me know,
-J
