Done.

I also added code to listen to the usb port for numbers followed by a newline char. It'll completely ignore any character that isn't an integer. Then interpret the last four digits as desired time values, HHMM. A 0 should preface any hour less than 10; greater than 12 is turned into a 1. Minutes likewise, but greater than 59 rounds to 0.

Ray mentioned the idea of connecting to the pi running the door. Sounds cool to me, but i'll let someone else take it from here.

Someone at SCI asked if we could do this. I said I'd be happy to if they secured the $15k to buy parts. She hasn't said anything about it since.

Yeah. When I saw this I thought of using square buttons for a changing maze game that only exposed itself a few pixels at a time a la minesweeper, then alternating with snake. It'd be great down at Sci/maker faire. But "ain't no one got <strike>time</strike> funds for that!"
