I have noticed a few questions about the usage of the google groups.  Here are some tips that I have observed using the system.

1. Posting a new thread is as simple as emailing dsmmak...@googlegroups.com
2. The email address used to post to the group has to be the same one as registered (you need to be approved to post, no anonymous posting)
3. The email address used to post is still maintained in the email header and those of us using the group via email will be able to grab yours.
4. For filtering purposes, all emails you get from the list will have their to field as dsmmak...@googlegroups.com Personally I filter them all into a single label so that when I archive them I can find them in a slightly smaller pit.
5. If you find that you are getting too many emails from this group you can change to a daily digest email and it will cut down on clutter but you might miss out of short term events.
6. Our archives are public and hosted by google (read will be on the internet for a while) so be aware when posting anything sensitive.

Any other things that people have found cool with the groups?  Anything else that you wish someone told you when you first started using google groups?
