Hi Everyone,

 

Special Olympics (Thurston County) is holding their 4th annual "Pack-the-Gym" fundraiser/tournament at Capital HS on Thursday, the 12th of January, at 6PM (2707 Conger Ave NW, Olympia).  This is a great event which I have attended every year, great fun for the athletes and attendees alike.  The event highlights all the Special Olympics basketball teams in Thurston County.  You will know many of the athletes playing.  Capital HS really plays the event up by supporting with drill team, spirit band, and cheerleaders.  Our DS group has donated $500 to sponsor Special Olympics in Thurston County throughout the year supporting over 400 Special Olympics athletes to participate in dozens of sports, to include basketball, softball, swimming, bowling, track, weightlifting, soccer, and others.  If you had not had time to enjoy one of these events, please come by and see if Special Olympics sports might be right for your special someone.  The event is free to our members.  Please let me know if you will attend and I will get tickets for you, family members, and friends, all are welcome.

 

Please RSVP by the 9th to me (lhmitc...@comcast.net), so I can have tickets for you at the ticket counter on the night of the event.
