Will it be more convenient for developer if the default value can be selected in the HTML form

Hello, every one. I'm using django rest framework to develop the restful api.

In my model, there is a field named status. Its default value is 1. So, I think it will be more convenient if the second (which shows "norm") will be chosen by default.

Is there anyway I can realize it? Or is there anybody willing to realize it and make a pull request?
