Pulling stock levels from API

Hi all,

I'm looking into the possibility of learning django-oscar to build my ecommerce store.

I wanted to ask whether the framework allows for stock levels to be dynamically updated by calls to an external API.

If so, would this simply be a case of overriding and customizing the core product model?

This is my first project of this kind so any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
