Feature request - Optimizing images using a postprocessor

Hi, based on what I've read about best practices, it seems that it would be a good idea to optimize images. Another app called easy-thumbnails has a feature that allows this:

Would it be possible to do this using Imagekit? If not, is there any chance of this being added as a feature?

The goal should be to compress low-quality or blurry cellphone photos a lot, and compress high-quality DSLR photos only a little or not at all.

This is very good idea, but currently there are not plans for this feature. Patches are still welcome.
