Been thinking about the "Speed Demons" obstacles and the geometry of the problem. There are two halves to the obstacle section, the horizontal climbing wall and the barrels. The wall is 8 x 8 feet, and the width of the track is 16 feet and the straw bale separator is 15 inches wide. That leaves the barrel section about 8 feet long and 7 feet wide. The barrels are about 2 feet in diameter with at least 3 feet between them, implying that the centers are at least 5 feet apart. This means that they cannot all fit within the 7 by 8 foot section, unless they are all in the corners, but we know that they will not be. My guess is that the barrel section will just be longer than the wall section. Not sure it helps much anyway, the barrel section is going to be tough to get through without some good obstacle sensors and avoidance code. I'm reserving judgement on the wall, but it seems like it will require some serious ground clearance to get through.

The announcement that they made specifically said that there was no guaranteed clearance between barrels and the bale walls
