I'm giving a talk as part of the tissue culture lecture series at The BUGGS hackerspace in Baltimore tomorrow and would love to meet with anyone from the list in person.

Wish I could join you guys - looks like an awesome lineup! (Plus, we could *really* use some plant cell culturing pointers! :-D

Were the talks going to be streamed?

They seem to be recording the whole conference. I just gave my talk and mind vomited for 20-30 minutes for your enjoyment. I'll ask where it will be hosted. I hope I did justice to the question at the end pertaining to the role DIY bio could have in terms of open source crops and basic plant research. Either way the talk outlines plant basics as well as how to transform with agro, protoplast isolation, and potential for bioprinting plants. Slides were just images...mostly original work....some stolen from google images. The other speakers have very interesting topics on bio printing mammalian tissues, micro fluidic bio printers, etc. really neat stuff.

They said they are recording the entire conference and will host it on the BUGGS site once it wraps up and they compile it all together. Feel free to start a thread once the video is up and I'll make an effort to respond asap to any questions, criticism, etc.
