How to access audio samples on Android

Hi,

I'd like to access local audio stream's samples on Android and calculate average volume every couple of seconds. But it doesn't seem possible. but it seems extremely easy in browser[1], so why not on Android?

And when I create my own AudioRecorder, then I can't access the microphone in WebRTC and nou sound is transmitted. :(

So how should I do that?
