Libjingle android native camera and audio usage

Hi,

We have at the moment problems with release 5703, the video freezes (within 10sec) and no audio when using a set top box with USB camera.

We are using kitkat as an Android release. I know our SW vendor is working hard to iron out the bugs in the OS level, but

in the meantime I would like to understand how the libjingle reserves and uses the USB webcam HW?

I tried with same setup with Skype, and it has no problems, audio and video are fine.

Is there anything I could do debug the problems further and provide more debug / logs to our SW vendor that

they could solve the problems in OS level faster? Or even tell then how WebRTC uses the resources?

Generaly A/V capture code for android in webrtc is in https://code.google.com/p/chromium/codesearch#search/&q=f:/webrtc/.*/(audio%7Cvideo)_capture/.*android/&sq=package:chromium&type=cs and specifically video capture is started at https://code.google.com/p/chromium/codesearch#chromium/src/third_party/webrtc/modules/video_capture/android/java/src/org/webrtc/videoengine/VideoCaptureAndroid.java&l=63

Probably dumping full logs from a Debug build would be useful to your platform vendor (https://code.google.com/p/chromium/codesearch#chromium/src/third_party/libjingle/source/talk/examples/android/src/org/appspot/apprtc/AppRTCDemoActivity.java&l=200)
