Erratic behavior on Mac

I am building a product that allows users to record a webgl canvas with audio using MediaStream and MediaRecorder. In some circumstances independent from my code, which I can replicate on my machine, the video is entirely composed by artetacts like this:

I could give up on the web and go Electron, but I really would like to keep it there. Is there anyone from the dev team here to try to get to the bottom of it?
