Hey folks,

We've decided to merge down our Pivotal Tracker projects, and open up the Community one more, as it's been fairly stagnant, but could be fairly useful for coordinating between community devs. You can check out the project here.

It requires a Pivotal Tracker account. You can opt to directly register with our Community tracker here, and I will approve your membership requests as soon as they hit my inbox. ;)

Best,
-Sean

Also, if any of you are interested in using the Pivotal Tracker, but you're unsure on what it does (what are Stories, what is a Backlog, etc.) I recommend you watch this "getting started" video.

https://www.pivotaltracker.com/flash/flvplayer.swf?file=http://tracker.screencast.s3.amazonaws.com/pivotal-tracker-intro.flv&image=/images/v7/application/screenshots/storyview.png&autostart=true

In the first 30 seconds, all the terms are explained and in the remaining video you get a quick walktrough of the basic workflow.

For further information on this great tool, see: https://www.pivotaltracker.com/help/gettingstarted

I just hope that using Google services for Diaspora development was easy recognisible mistake, that can be changed in a very short time.

I do not want to execute any google.com scripts and neather use Google infrastructure for a world-changing platform , like Diaspora.

Please avoid using google services as an excuse for not making something independent.

Hey Mark, we use Google Groups as a frontend for managing our mailing list. You don't need a Google account to respond to the list by email. Google Groups is used by lots of FOSS projects, and it's saves us time by providing a service that we'd otherwise have to host and maintain ourselves. However, should the need arise in the future to use a better system of communication, I am not averse to using something else in the long run.

Best,
Sean
