What If Machine 2015 - Team Call Out!

What If 2015 will be a weekend of making, designing and prototyping in teams. We are inviting teams of around 5 members to each create a section of a self-triggering, consequential machine in the style of Heath Robinson.
Teams will be provided with materials in a ‘scrapheap challenge’ format, and will be invited to choose bits and bobs to create a section of the machine in their own design. The weekend will be broken up as follows;
Saturday 9.30am - 5pm, 14 February
Teams assemble, individual applicants allocated a team
Collection of materials
Design/Planning
Prototyping
Testing
Final Construction
Sunday 10am - 3pm, 15 February
Final alterations
Test Runs throughout the day for public
The best way to describe the day will be to watch this link from a similar event held at The Silk Mill in 2012;
The event is free to take part in and could form part of Derby Makers Volunteer Hours. Teams will need to register by Friday Feb 13 by emailing Chris Keady chr...@derbymuseums.org with the name of your team.
