Date for your diary : Saturday May 5th, Makers Market

We had the March Steering Committee meeting last Thursday (March 22nd). The minutes will be sent round all the membership in the next week or so, but in advance of that here's a date for your diary :

Saturday May 5th :  

• Makers Market at the Hollybrook pub in Littleover, 10am - 6pm
• See Facebook link https://www.facebook.com/events/222644238297488/?ti=as
• We plan to support the whole day and take a range of items to "show and tell", including laser cut parts, the Ropemaker etc. We'll be looking for good support from the membership on the day, this is a trial run for doing more events and getting DM more widely known, so we can grow the membership.
• Given that it's at a pub, we won't have far to go for the first pint once the event is over!

So far we certainly have 5 or 6 people who are up for supporting the Makers Market on May 5th - thank you!

Grant has contacted the organisers about our involvement; the specific person he needs to talk to is away at the moment but will be back next Friday (April 6th). Once it's confirmed we're in, and we know a bit more about what space/facilities we'll have, we'll share what we know with the membership.
