Some weeks ago I received an inquiry about doing Rope Making at a weekend festival in Yorkshire, 20-22 July, the "Deer Shed" festival :

Since there weren't many details provided, I went back to the enquirer to get some more. I've now had the following reply :

Hi Mark,

 

Just picking this up, I’m wondering if it gained any interest at your meeting? Practitioners would get a weekend camping ticket with parking. Alternatively, you could run a paid workshop if you are able to create things like keyrings? Open to suggestions so feel free to send over any ideas.

Since a weekend adult ticket with camping and parking is £145, this sounds like a pretty good deal. Please let me know if anyone is interested in doing this? Obviously whoever went would be busy during the days doing the activity, but (see the link) there's a lot of stuff on in the evenings as well so it could be a good weekend.

Thanks for forwarding the response.

As discussed before, I am very interested, but would need to include my partner and 2 kids on the deal, for it to be viable for me. Also, if possible, I would pay the difference for a campervan upgrade.

I can't commit to this or any other event in July - I'm very likely away with work for 2 weeks but I don't know exactly when yet.

Does anyone else fancy a "free" weekend in Yorkshire making rope/listening to bands/drinking beer?
