2016 Maker Faire

John at the Silk Mill pointed out this week that the Maker Faire this year is on Saturday October 22nd - 2 months away!

I'm happy to make my Rope Maker available to anyone who wants it, but I don't think I could go through another whole day of making rope again. So this year I thought I volunteer for the SM, if volunteers are needed?

Does anyone else have any thoughts about what they want to do this year?

I am doing rocket cars again and would appreciate any help people want to lend a hand with we are getting funding from IMechE again and hoping to launch around 200 cars. We need to do some prep beforehand and the school will be supporting again.

Thanks Mark for the prompt about this years Maker Faire.

As in previous years, I will be running my own stall, but will available to help prepare the Derby Makers stall/workshop.

With the Cabinet getting every closer to being completed, I will be nice to fully populate it ready for the Maker Faire. Can people have a think about what they could contribute to the cabinet. It would be nice to had a broad range of projects, that don't necessarily need to be completed. It will reiterate this in a Cabinet specific thread.

Last year, I only saw the rest of the faire on my way to and back from the toilet. I imagine this would have been the same for the rope making team. So, it would be great if as many derby makers could support the rope making (assuming that what we want to do) as possible. If you are going to the maker faire, but can't commit the day, any time you can will be of great help.
