This evening, the makers met up with the Museums Staff and discussed many topics. Amongst these topics, the Museums Staff talked about their plans and intentions for the future. These are outlined in the "Executive Summary Document" which can be accessed here:

This should provide some information about time-scales, funding and programming.

The "Human Centred Design Handbook" should also provide some more context to the previous document:

If any makers/museum staff have anything to add, just reply to this topic :)

Hi All

Thanks for taking the time to meet with us yesterday. We talked about a huge amount, all of which was really useful. We're in the process of sharing your thoughts with the wider team and following our project lab planning meeting today we will be in touch soon to share progress.

Thanks all,

Andrea

Thanks Andrea and all the Silk Mill crew for your time on Wednesday.

It was really good for all to have a chance to air their views on the Derby Makers and Silk Mills on going relationship.

I would like to have them more frequently, perhaps once a quarter.

Cheers, Morgan

Was thinking about the meeting and it seemed to get hung up on the idea of everything happening on a Wednesday night. Would it not be possible for Derby Makers as individuals to contribute on any day that is appropriate for them and the museum, while Derby Makers the group has access to the workshops on a Sunday night? This could allow Derby Maker's Give be more flexible and more closely fit into the needs of the museum while the Get remains as it is.

Could this work?
