Pls Help Issue Using Owasp dependency check Maven Plugin 1.3.1 :Apache Maven 2.2.1

Hi Team,

 I am trying to use Owasp dependency check Maven Plugin 1.3.1  with Apache maven version 2.2.1 for Owasp dependency check. 

Version

Java version 1.7.0.79

Mac Machine

Owasp dependency check Maven Plugin 1.3.1

Apache maven version 2.2.1 

- I am unable to use the goal check . I am getting the Fatal error.

Please advise and help me on this to fix the issue.Thank you

Unfortunately, I don't believe dependency-check will work on Maven 2.x. Maven 3.0 is required.
