LDAP and admin user: mixed authentication possible?

I successfully configured LDAP on our dcm4chee instance, but now have issues with the admin account. I am assuming that since the admin account is not in our LDAP, this is the problem.

Below is the error I get when I try to stop the service. Is there any way to have admin in an access control list, while still doing authentication for other users through LDAP? On a side note, the database connection works just fine.
