Has anyone implemented these for DC?  Is this something that would even be possible given how crossfilter works?

Yes, in fact it is here:

There is a completely different approach here:

https://github.com/dc-js/dc.js/pull/692

One uses complex reduced values, and the other uses a composite chart with multiple groups. You are right that this is not vanilla crossfilter because the reduced data is inherently multidimensional. But it can be made to work.
