Hi,

Are you a female graduate student or post-doc who's savvy in R? Do you want to help teach an R bootcamp for a diverse group of students? The STEMinist program offers 3-day workshops for free to UC Berkeley students, aimed at providing bioinformatics resources to women and students of color. The R bootcamp will be 1-4pm at UC Berkeley on Aug 7-9 and the grant has funding to pay instructors.

Three graduate students (including myself) from Population Biology co-taught for the STEMinist program in the spring and it was a lot of fun. We are running other sessions this summer. Unfortunately, none of us can make the dates for this session (with low statistical probability, two of us have jury duty). If you are interested, we can share the curriculum resources we've been using. Pairs and trios of co-teachers are welcome. Strong teaching and R skills are of course required.

If you are interested, please do not reply-all to the listserv. Instead, reply to the instructors and the director of the STEMinist program, Di, who are each individually CC'd here. Thanks!

Cheers,
Erin
