Serve web interfaces from a path other than /

Key: DATAFLOW-362
URL:
http://dataflow-jira.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/jira/browse/DATAFLOW-362
Project: DataFlow
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: DataBank, DataStage
Reporter: Mark Johnson
Assignee: Anusha Ranganathan
Currently both DataStage and DataBank, when installed via APT packages, try to configure Apache to serve their web interfaces from the root of the server by default.
This means firstly that you can't install both on the same server as you only get access to one interface (it seems DataBank gets precedent). It may also interfere with pre-existing web applications running on the server.
It would be ideal to have the web interfaces serve from discrete addresses by default which are less likely to interfere with the default server configuration, for example DataStage serving from /datastage and DataBank serving from /databank. PHPMyAdmin behaves in a similar way when installed via APT.
