The UK Office for National Statistics is committed to improving its product portfolio with a ‘digital first’ mantra. Part of this is connecting with our users through data visualisations such as those found on http://visual.ons.gov.uk/tag/interactive/. In conjunction with our editorial staff, designers and researchers/statisticians, they will be creating high quality interactive data visualisations. The role will provide the post holder with exciting opportunities to develop new skills, such as effective data visualisation techniques and the chance to explore data visualisation libraries and technologies (eg d3js). The post holder will work closely with colleagues in the Digital Content team and with a wide range of business areas across ONS, becoming familiar with different outputs and exploring the best way to present different data visually.
